Guiding Principles

1. Your relationship with your child is far more important than any particular issue.
2. Children are little people.
3. Children are a blessing from God.
4. Children learn and develop at different speeds. In general children learn formal school subjects better later than earlier.
5. Playing is learning. When children are playing, they are learning.
6. Patience equals love. Impatience equals hate. A patient parent never needs to spank a child.
7. Innocence should be honored, cherished, and protected.
8. Parents, and especially father, should be the strongest influence in their child's life.
9. Little children should spend all their time with their parents and brothers and sisters.
   Children should not be left with strangers. If there are activities with anyone else, a parent should always be there too.
10. Home education (home schooling) is the most superior method of education.If you can legally do so where you are, you should try for this excellent form of education for your children. Here is a partial list of famous home schoolers

So many parents get so bogged down in the homework issue that they forget about the most important thing of all: the relationship. Relating to your child with love and understanding is a million times more important than any particular homework assignment. . How much homework did Einstein do? Who knows? Who cares? So You Want to Study Geometry

I am in my 60's and I am studying calculus and kinematics. I need them for some advanced work I am doing. You have my permission to study both basic and advanced at the same time.   One moment I'm looking at the Introduction to Electromagnetism by Griffiths or The Evolution of Physics by Albert Einstein, and the next moment it's The Isaac Newton School of Driving or Barrons's AP Physics. Remember "learning is s'posed to be fun." You know what--I really have benefited from Youtube videos. For calculus, PatrickJMT, Dereck Owens, That Tutor Guy, and Dr. Schuster have been very helpful. For kinematics, Mrs. Twu and Bozeman Science. I watch a video or two, and then go to that section in my book. Then back to the videos again. And so on.   But how about geometry?
